Central Indiana Chapter Elections

The Nominations/Elections Committee is currently accepting applications for the following elected positions:  Secretary, Treasurer, and Vice-President.  Please utilize the Nominations/Elections submission Form and send to Christina Merriott at The form is available in the Files tab.

2021 High School Student Scholarship for Safety Related Careers

The Central Indiana Chapter will award up to three $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors in Indiana with a 2.8 GPA or higher who will be furthering their education in Indiana with an emphasis on occupational safety is eligible to apply.

Safety related careers may include:
-Construction safety
-Risk Management
-Safety and Health
-Industrial Hygiene
-Environmental Health
-Or others as approved by the scholarship selection committee.

Scholarship applications and 2 references are due March 31, 2021. Scholarship recipients will be announced by April 15, 2021. For more information and to download the application visit

2021 Indiana Safety and Health Conference/Expo

Registration is open for one of the Midwest’s largest occupational safety and health conference.  The 2021 Indiana Safety and Health Conference/Expo has been scheduled as a fully virtual conference on March 1-3. The early-bird discount ends February 1, 2021.

Pre-conference workshops are slated for Monday March 1.

Keynote speakers on Tuesday and Wednesday March 2-3 are John Drebinger and Shawn Galloway.  John’s presentation is titled, “Safety for Effective Leaders: Empowering People to Work Safely!”  Shawn will speak on “Shaping the Future of Safety Excellence.”

CEU’s have been approved for attendance for multiple certifications.  For details please visit

You will need your ASSP member number to change your information online. This will help us ensure that you are getting all chapter information and publications, as well as news from ASSP Society.

Remember, even when you specifically email us and ask us to change an email address you must still have Society change it. If you do not, the roster will always reflect your out of date information and we will not be able to reach you. Each time we send out mass emails we access a new roster to include new members.
