Speaker:  Dr. Julie. Boyd

Bio:  Dr. Julie. Boyd is a lecturer in the Occupational Safety and Health Department at Murray State University. She earned both her BS and MS degrees at Murray State University. Upon graduation with her MS degree, Julie began working in the manufacturing sector, where she remained for over a decade before teaching at the university level.  She has EHS experience in automotive and food manufacturing, where she earned her Six Sigma Black Belt certification.  Julie has been a full-time lecturer in the Occupational Safety and Health Department since January 2016. She recently earned her doctorate (Occupational Safety and Health Ph.D.) from Capitol Technology and is now a Certified Industrial Hygienist. Julie serves as the faculty advisor for the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) student chapter. She is the owner and lead consultant of EHS Industrial Consultants.
