SMG is seeking a Construction Safety Advisor for our Insights Team in Central Indiana.
The key function of a Safety Advisor is to put safety at the forefront of their job, prioritize the client’s needs, work well in a team setting, be self-managed, and be flexible when it comes to change and travel. The Associate in this role will work in a construction environment.
This person will travel to different client sites throughout the state of Indiana.
Overview of Job Responsibilities
- Site safety observations, including documentation of findings
- Safety program review/development
- Visit Construction clients to perform site audits and assessments
- Provide training
- Administer Safety Partner Program to multiple clients
- Verify compliance with safety policies and procedures as required by law, the Owner, and contractors
- Provides incident management and support
- Documentation and Report preparation
Requirements
- Four plus years of construction safety experience
- A degree in safety or related fields is preferred
- CSP, CHST, STS-C is preferred but not required
- Experience reviewing safety programs
- Experience providing training and site audits
- First-aid/CPR certification from the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association
- OSHA 30-hr Construction
- OSHA 510 preferredÂ
