SMG is currently seeking a Safety Advisor for a night shift position based in Lebanon, Indiana.
The primary role of a Safety Advisor is to prioritize safety in every aspect of their work, remain focused on the client’s needs, collaborate effectively within a team, manage their responsibilities independently, and adapt well to change.
Overview of Job Responsibilities:
- Conducts site safety observations and documents findings
- Facilitates corrective actions when necessary
- Represents the contractor or Owner in progress meetings
- Verifies compliance with safety policies and procedures as required by law, the Owner, or the contractor
- Attends pre-construction planning and safety meetings
- Provides incident management and support
- Prepares documentation and reports
- Conducts reviews of contractor safety programs
Requirements
- Ability to work night shifts from 6:00 PM to 4:00 AM, 5 to 6 days per week
- Minimum of 5 years of construction safety experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety or a related field preferred
- OSHA 30-Hour Certification – Construction
- Proven experience providing safety oversight on major construction projects
- Strong technical understanding of construction processes
