Safety Advisor (Indianapolis)

There is an opening for a Safety Advisor local to the Indianapolis and surrounding area to work various projects in the area and be willing to travel. This person will be representing the General Contractor on a large project construction project in the downtown Indianapolis area. The Advisor will be responsible for the following: Pre-job Safety Planning, Safety Observations, Incident Investigation, Safety Plans, Safety Orientation, Daily and Weekly Safety Meetings.

It is very important for the Advisor in this role to have a strong construction background, experience with presenting information to an audience (Contractors, General Contractors, Construction Managers, and Client Customers), and possess a high proficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, etc. This Advisor should be highly self-motivated and have excellent time management and scheduling skills. This is an immediate need.

Qualifications have been listed below:

8+ Years Construction Safety Experience
OSHA 30 and/or OSHA 510/500 is preferred
Strong technical computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, etc.)
Local candidate or someone willing to relocate to the area
Recent fall protection training, knowledge, and use of equipment
Experience working on large construction projects
Shift – 40 hours per week
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor’s Degree (in a safety related field) Preferred
