Safety Advisor (Indiana)

SMG is seeking a Safety Advisor for General Industry in Indiana. 

The key function of a Safety Advisor is to put safety at the forefront of their job, prioritize the client’s needs, work well in a team setting, be self-managed, and be flexible when it comes to change and travel. The Associate in this role will work in a construction environment.

This person will travel to different client sites throughout the state of Indiana. 

Overview of Job Responsibilities

  • Site safety observations, including documentation of findings
  • Safety program review/development
  • Visit General Industry clients to perform site audits and assessments 
  • Provide trainings 
  • Administer Safety Partner Program to multiple General Industry clients
  • Verify compliance with safety policies and procedures as required by law, the Owner, and contractors
  • Provides incident management and support
  • Documentation and Report preparation

Requirements

  • Four plus years of General Industry safety experience
  • A degree in safety or related fields is preferred
  • ASP or CSP is preferred but not required 
  • Experience reviewing safety programs
  • Experience providing trainings and site audits 
  • First-aid/CPR certification from the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association
  • OSHA 30-hr General Industry
