Safety Advisor (Indianapolis)

SMG seeks a local Safety Advisor – Construction in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The key function of a Safety Advisor is to put safety at the forefront of their job, prioritize the client’s needs, work well in a team setting, be self-managed, and be flexible when it comes to change and travel. The Associate in this role will work in a construction environment.

 Overview of Job Responsibilities

  • Site safety observations, including documentation of findings
  • Conduct Job Hazard Analysis
  • Represent the contractor in progress meetings
  • Verify compliance with safety policies and procedures as required by law, the Owner, and contractors
  • Conduct New Hire Orientations and safety meetings
  • Provides incident management and support
  • Documentation and Report preparation
  • Conducts Contractor program reviews
  • Project will include installation of: new air lines, pumps, piping, risers, heat exchangers, and air handlers


  • Five plus years of construction safety experience
  • A degree in safety or related fields is preferred
  • OSHA 500 preferred 
  • Previous experience with air lines, HVAC, Plumbing, and Piping
  • First-aid/CPR certification from the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association
